What changed on 4 September 2026.These terms now describe the optional Referral Service (clause 3), explain how an estimate sits beside a Partner’s quote (clause 2.4), cover 3D renders (clause 2.6), and no longer state prices — the price you pay is always the one shown in the app at checkout. Your refund rights and consumer guarantees are unchanged.

These Terms govern your use of www.resiquote.com.au and the services we provide through it (the Service). By creating an account, uploading a plan, making a purchase or asking us to connect you with a partner, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. What the Service is

ResiQuote provides two things.

1.1 The Estimate Service

You upload a residential floor plan. Our software analyses the drawing to extract measurements (such as room areas, wall lengths, roof area and fixtures) and applies construction rates to produce an indicative build estimate. A free cost range is shown first. A full itemised estimate, and optional 3D facade and kitchen renders, are available for the price displayed in the app at the time of purchase.

1.2 The Referral Service

If you ask us to, we can connect you with third-party businesses that may be able to help with your project (Partners). Partners may include licensed builders, finance brokers or lenders, suppliers of building products and fittings, and insurers or insurance brokers. The Referral Service is optional. Nothing is shared with any Partner unless you choose to be referred to that Partner.

1.3 What we are not

ResiQuote is a software and referral platform. We are not a builder, quantity surveyor, valuer, architect, engineer, finance broker, lender, insurer or insurance broker, and we do not act as agent for you or for any Partner. Any agreement you enter with a Partner is between you and that Partner. We are not a party to it.

2. Estimates are indicative only

2.1Every estimate we produce is an automated indicative estimate measured from your floor plan. It is not a quote, tender, valuation, surveyor’s report or professional advice, and it is not a representation of what any builder will charge.

2.2 Actual construction costs will differ, sometimes substantially, because of site conditions, soil and engineering requirements, your selections and finishes, material and labour prices at the time of construction, council and regulatory requirements, and builder availability.

2.3 The accuracy of an estimate depends on the quality and completeness of the plan you upload. Automated measurement can contain errors, and rooms or features may be missed or misread.

2.4 Using estimates alongside Partner quotes.Where you use the Referral Service, we may display your estimate next to quotes provided by Partners. The estimate is shown as a general reference point only. It does not assess whether any quote is fair, reasonable, complete or comparable, and a Partner’s quote is the only figure you should rely on for that Partner’s work. Differences between an estimate and a quote are expected and do not mean either is wrong.

2.5 Before you make any financial commitment, obtain itemised quotes from licensed builders and advice from appropriately qualified professionals. Do not use an estimate as the basis for a loan application, insurance valuation, contract price or any other purpose that requires a precise or certified figure.

2.6 Renders. Any 3D facade or kitchen render is an AI-generated artist impression based on the geometry in your plan and the colour scheme you select. The finished home will differ. Renders are not architectural drawings and must not be relied on for construction, approvals or selections.

3. The Referral Service

3.1 How it works. After you receive an estimate, we may offer to connect you with Partners relevant to your project. If you accept an offer, we will tell you which Partner or Partners will receive your details before anything is shared. You can decline any referral, choose which Partners receive your details, and withdraw from a referral at any time by contacting us or the Partner.

3.2 What we share. When you ask us to refer you to a Partner, we may share your name, contact details, the state and locality of your build, your uploaded plan, your estimate, your stated budget and timing, and any other information you choose to include. We do not share your information with any Partner you have not chosen.

3.3 How we are paid. ResiQuote may receive a fee, commission or other benefit from a Partner when we refer you to them, when you enter into a contract with them, or when a loan or policy arranged through them settles or commences. The existence of a fee will be disclosed to you at the point of referral. Any fee we receive does not change the price you pay us for the Estimate Service.

3.4 Our Partner panel is not the whole market.Partners are businesses that have agreed to our Partner terms. We do not refer you to every builder, broker, supplier or insurer in your area, and a business’s absence from our panel says nothing about its quality. Where we present more than one Partner, we will tell you how the order was decided. We do not order or recommend Partners by the amount they pay us.

3.5 What we check, and what we do not.Before admitting a builder Partner, we check that it holds the building licence or registration required in the relevant state or territory. Before admitting a finance, insurance or supplier Partner, we check that it holds any licence or authorisation it tells us it requires. We do not assess a Partner’s workmanship, pricing, financial position, insurance cover or suitability for your project, and we do not guarantee any Partner’s performance.

3.6 Finance referrals. Where a Partner is a finance broker or lender, our role is limited to passing on your contact details and a short description of your project with your consent. We do not provide credit assistance or advice, we do not compare or recommend loans or lenders, and we do not charge you for a finance referral. The Partner will deal with you directly, and any credit assistance or credit is provided by the Partner under its own licence and its own terms.

3.7 Insurance referrals. Where a Partner is an insurer or insurance broker, our role is limited to introducing you to the Partner. We do not recommend, arrange or advise on any insurance product. Any advice or product is provided by the Partner under its own licence.

3.8 Supplier referrals.Where a Partner supplies building products, fixtures, appliances or services, any product information, pricing or availability is the Partner’s, and any purchase is made from the Partner on its terms. Any product named in an estimate is a pricing assumption, not an endorsement.

3.9 Partner contact. Partners you are referred to may contact you by phone, email or message about the referred project. If you no longer wish to be contacted by a Partner, tell the Partner or tell us and we will instruct the Partner to stop.

3.10 No obligation. You are never obliged to engage, buy from or borrow from any Partner, and we do not restrict who else you may deal with.

4. Your account

4.1 You must be at least 18 years old, provide accurate information, and keep your login details secure. You are responsible for activity under your account.

4.2 One account per person. We may suspend or close accounts that breach these Terms.

5. Uploads and acceptable use

5.1 Your rights in what you upload.You warrant that you own, or have the right to use and share, any plan or document you upload, and that uploading and sharing it under these Terms does not infringe anyone’s copyright, confidentiality or other rights. You are responsible for obtaining any permission you need from a designer, builder or architect.

5.2 Licence to us. You grant ResiQuote a non-exclusive licence to store and process your uploads and estimates to provide the Service, to operate and support your account, to review and improve the accuracy of our estimation engine, and, only where you have asked for a referral, to share them with the Partners you have chosen. We do not sell your plans and we do not publish them.

5.3 Prohibited use. You must not scrape or bulk-submit plans, resell or commercially distribute outputs, circumvent payment, reverse engineer the Service, upload malicious files, submit false or misleading information to obtain a referral, or use the Service to harvest Partner or customer details. We may rate-limit or refuse service for abusive use.

6. Payment

6.1 Prices for the full itemised estimate, the renders and any other paid feature are shown in the app at the time of purchase and include GST unless stated otherwise. The price you see at checkout is the price you pay.

6.2 Payments are processed by our payment provider. We do not store your card details.

6.3 A price change does not affect purchases already made.

7. Refunds

7.1 If you are not satisfied with a purchased estimate or render, contact us at hello@resiquote.com.au within 14 days of purchase and we will refund it in full.

7.2 In addition, the Australian Consumer Law gives you guarantees that cannot be excluded. If there is a major failure with a service we supply, you are entitled to cancel and receive a refund for the unused portion or compensation for its reduced value. If the failure is not major, we may re-supply, correct or refund the service.

7.3Refunds under this clause apply to services you have purchased from us. They do not extend to goods or services you purchase from a Partner, which are covered by the Partner’s own obligations under the Australian Consumer Law.

8. Intellectual property

8.1The Service, its software, estimation methods, rate tables, report formats, renders’ underlying models and branding belong to ResiQuote or its licensors.

8.2 A purchased estimate or render is for your personal use in planning your project. You may share it with your family, your builder, your broker or other advisers. You may not resell it, present it as your own professional work, or use it to provide services to others.

8.3 Partners who receive your estimate through the Referral Service receive it only to quote or assist with your project and gain no other rights in it.

9. Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot lawfully be excluded. To the extent of any inconsistency, that law prevails.

10. Liability

10.1 Subject to clause 9, we are not liable for:

(a) any decision you make in reliance on an estimate, render or cost range, including a decision to buy land, sign a building contract, apply for finance or select finishes;
(b) errors that result from an inaccurate, incomplete, low-resolution or altered plan;
(c) the acts, omissions, quotes, products, advice, workmanship, delays, insolvency or conduct of any Partner, or any contract, loan or policy you enter into with a Partner;
(d) events outside our reasonable control, including outages of third-party services we rely on.

10.2 For users who use the Service in trade or commerce (for example builders, brokers, developers and their staff), and to the extent permitted by law, our liability for any failure to comply with a consumer guarantee is limited to re-supplying the service or paying the cost of re-supply, and the Service is otherwise provided as is.

10.3 Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

11. Changes, availability and termination

11.1 We improve the Service continually and may add, change or remove features, Partners or partner categories.

11.2 We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access.

11.3 We will notify you of material changes to these Terms by notice on the site or by email. Continued use after the change takes effect is acceptance of the new Terms.

11.4 You may delete individual plans and estimates, or your whole account, at any time in the app. Deletion is permanent and does not entitle you to a refund. If you have an open referral, deleting your account withdraws you from it, but a Partner who has already received your details will hold them under its own privacy obligations; you can contact the Partner directly to request deletion.
